Summer Bucket List

As summer is nearing its end make sure that you have accomplished these things.

Summer Bucket List

Summertime is the perfect time of the year to forget all about school and relax. It's great for getting tan and hanging out with friends and family, but there are several summer experiences that will make your summer extra memorable...

1. Have a Campfire and make some Smore’s

Hanging out with a group of friends huddled around a campfire and sharing stories and secrets is a perfect way to spend a chilly evening. Having family time is another great way to enjoy the warmth of the fire. Eating the oooey-gooey Smores is a summer necessity. For an upgraded S'more try putting a peanut butter cup instead of a chocolate bar.

2. Go to a concert or music festival

Relaxing and rocking out to some good music is a great way to lift your spirits. Concerts and outdoor music festivals are a blast and a good way to enjoy the summer with some amazing music.

3. Do something in nature

Hanging out outside is a summer necessity, feeling the sun beat down and the wind ripple through the trees makes you feel so alive. Hiking and enjoying the beauty of nature is a great way to spend a summer day. If you don't like camping there is fishing, hunting, boating, or just sitting in the grass relaxing.

4. Go to the pool, lake, or the beach

Swimming, tanning, and building sand castles are timeless summer activities. Its a great way to beat the heat and relax with friends and families, not to mention getting a great tan. Or possibly getting a sun burn, remember to stock up on Aloe Vera.

5. Spend time with family and friends

While accomplishing things is fun, it really depends on the people that you are close with. Spending time with family and friends is a great thing to do over summer without all the stress of schoolwork.

6. Go on a picnic

Relaxing in a scenic location with family and friends eating delicious food. Catching up with family and friends and tossing frisbees around is a way to have fun in your favorite location.

7. Go to a drive in movie theatre

Drive in theaters are amazing and something that everyone should go to at least once in their life if not many times. Sitting in your car listening to the movie blast from the radio as you munch on popcorn is an experience that is reminiscent of simpler times where the drive in theatre was the only thing around, and it was a place to hang out with friends and family.

8. Go stargazing

Stargazing makes you stop and wonder at all of the amazing stars and galaxies and planets that make up the universe. Suddenly you feel so small and can't help but stare at the great expanse of sky that lies above.

9. Visit someplace you have never been before

Summer is a great time to do things that you haven't done before, or would be too busy to do during school. Skydiving or Scuba diving or visiting that little coffee shop that you have been meaning to go to, visiting somewhere new will be a great addition to an amazing summer.

Perform a random act of kindness... and make someones summer extra special.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
