Summer Vacation As Told By 'Jersey Shore'

Everyone remembers "Jersey Shore" and the craziness it portrayed. As we grow older we all probably have began to relate our summer vacations to the moments the stars of the show experienced themselves. They may not be in the same context, but we can all agree on quite a few of them when dealing with a hectic vacation, whether it be shared with friends or even family.

1. Arguing about who sleeps where.

You all survived the excruciating hours long trip in the jam packed car and now you enter where you will be staying for the next week. All hell breaks loose when everyone argues about who is sleeping where. No one wants to sleep on that uncomfortable pullout couch so why not all squeeze on that double?

2. Dealing with all the drama.

No matter if you came with your friends or family there is always going to be drama to deal with with so many people sleeping under one roof. There's many roles to play when it comes to the drama. There is the drama starter that never is in the drama, but is sure to get everyone heated. There's the one person that is easily angered at everything. Then comes the peace maker that just wants everyone to love each other, while we have the innocent bystander that practically sits there with a bag of popcorn and watches everything blow up.

3. Seeing people you know and like while on vacation.

While checking your snapchat stories you noticed one of your good friends is on vacation at the same place as you too so you have waited all week to run into them and once it finally happens, all hell breaks loose. Y'all feel like you own the place and have a same town alliance or something.

4. Seeing someone you know and don't like while on vacation.

You went 10 hours away from home and to another state and what are the odds you'd see one of the few people you actually despise while trying to enjoy yourself. While you spot them from afar you either try to hide or if they already spotted you and are making their way over, you fake a smile and a conversation.

5. Doing whatever your heart desires because you'll never see these people again.

Most of us already do as we please while at home or at college, but while on vacation it's as if we take on a whole other identity for a week. We do not know the people we see through out the time we spend here nor will we see them again so we surely take advantage of it.

6. Attempting to party every day/night of the week.

Because we didn't do this enough while home for the summer and the beach makes it all a bit more exciting we start the week off with these huge expectations to rage all week, no matter what. Then after that one party hard day you follow through with your body begins rejecting you and you realize you're not as tough as you thought.

7. Having to babysit your friends at the beach, the pool, the bar, and at dinner.

Thought this was over when you left college? Well guess again. Someone has to be the mom friend throughout the week or else everything will go downhill from the moment you step into that condo.

8. There's going to be a night where at least someone is almost or is arrested.

Liquid courage will make everyone do some crazy things and sometimes those actions end you up in the hands of the law. Some of us are lucky to get away and others aren't as lucky. I don't know if you should blame the one that took part in the action or the mom friend that failed her duties that night.

9. Going from a no makeup, sweaty mess during the day, to a full faced makeup goddess for the night out.

Who wears makeup while sweating to death under the blazing sun on the beach? The answer should be no one. Then comes time to clean up with a refreshing shower and apply a full face of makeup, to become another person, for that night out on the town.

10. Living off of sandwiches the whole week because everyone is too relaxed to actually cook.

Yes, the condo may have a stove, but who actually wants to sit around waiting for it to heat up, then to cook the food, then wait for the food to cool. The same with a microwave, the wait for the food to heat up and cool off to eat. Getting two slices of bread and a few pieces of lunch meat is far easier and you can take it on the go!

11. Testing your limits in the sun.

What does it matter if you're a white pasty person that's from the mid-west? Why not test your luck with the blazing southern sun and see just how burnt you can get in the first day?! You feel as if you will be a bronzed goddess at the end of the day, only to find yourself not even able to move.

12. Then comes the friend who purposely overly cooks themselves in the sun to be tan.

We all know they're tanner than everyone else, as do they. They take it upon themselves to be in the sun an excessive amount in order to be the darkest no matter how long it takes.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
