1. Peachy Keen Pastels

We're talking mint, coral, peach, blush, lavender, periwinkle, apricot, lemon, seafoam green, and salmon - They stand out in the best way. These colors are absolutely necessary if you want to spruce up your closet color scheme. The minty-er the better!

2. Swimsuits, in every way imaginable

You must have seen the viral TikTok videos by now of people rearranging their bikinis in all different ways to get the maximum style options out of each set. If you haven't seen these videos, you may want to crawl out from under the rock you have been under, before perhaps the most wild summer of our lives commences.

3. The 90s and early 2000s called... They want their mini skirts back

Mini skirts have legitimately been around for centuries. (I read it somewhere once… Don't come for me.) Perhaps this is rightfully so. The miniskirt allows your legs to breathe in the oppressive heat many of us may face this time of year. It is an item of clothing that can easily be dressed-up or dressed-down, simply based on the shirt and accessories accompanying it.

4. Top-to-bottom matching sets for the win

Matching sets can include bikinis, athleisure wear, long sleeve tops with shorts, and even sweatshirts with skirts. These sets are eye-catching and work well on many different body shapes. When in doubt, try it out!

5. Overhaul the overalls

Overalls are IN, they've BEEN in, and they're here to stay. Jean overalls are the perfect accessory because they go with seriously any top you put under it, no matter the sleeve length or pattern. These are statement pieces that you should certainly have at least one of in your wardrobe.

6. The Bold and the Beautiful

Summer 2021 will easily be one we can't forget, so why not make it memorable? Bold colors are an essential way to spice up any dreary and rainy summer day.

7. Let RETRO be your vibe

Some may define retro as the infamous pattern you may find on field-trip bus chairs or on the carpets of roller-skating rinks. Others may define retro as swirly patterned shirts with gigantic sleeves and bellbottoms. Whatever your definition of retro is, DO IT!

8. Overheated? Try on some chiffon!

Chiffon is a lightweight material that is a perfect addition to your summer collection. Just watch what you wear underneath because this material is often see-through!

9. The power of an embroidered sweatshirt

Summer may be the warmest season of the year, but it certainly brings with it some chilly nights by the shore. Throw on an embroidered sweatshirt with a cute little saying and you'll be sure to blend in and stand out all at once, in perhaps the cutest way possible.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads.
