Summer Tours You Shouldn't Miss

Maybe you're working, or taking summer classes, or both. Maybe you barely have time to go out on the weekend with your friends, or spend a day at the beach. Even if this is the case, summer is a time for relaxing, and it would be a good idea for you to make time for at least a concert or two. There are a few summer tours you shouldn't miss.

1. Halsey's Badlands Tour

She's new, so you're either a diehard fan or the only song you've heard of hers is "New Americana." Either way, you should go. And if you already listen to Lana Del Rey, Lorde, or Melanie Martinez, you're guaranteed to like Halsey as well. With shows all over the United States, you can definitely find one that works for you.

2. Justin Bieber's Purpose Tour

Yes, I understand that you listened to him when you were twelve years old, and that your little sister who is in elementary school listens to him now. I also understand that some of his recent haircuts have made him look like a less humorous Ellen DeGeneres. Regardless of these things, if you haven't heard his new album, you're living under a rock and you're missing out. And if you have heard the new album, there's a chance you want to go to the Purpose Tour already anyway.

3. Vans Warped Tour

For those of you who don't know what Warped Tour is, it's a rock music festival that travels the United States every summer. If you do know what it is, you're either planning on going, or not sure because there have been a couple years with mediocre lineups. However, that isn't an issue this time around, as many crowd favorites will be performing over the summer. I promise you'll want to go to Warped Tour within approximately thirty seconds of Google searching the lineup.

4. Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas' Future Now Tour

The argument I'm making for this tour is the same argument I'm making for Justin Bieber's tour. I understand that you most likely watched both Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas on Disney Channel when you were younger, and it's possible that Nick Jonas was your first crush. Anyway, they've both matured a lot lyrically since then, and missing out on their tour might not be a great idea.

5. Weezer & Panic! At The Disco's Summer Tour

I'm going to be honest in saying that I've never listened to Weezer, so I can't advocate for them. Panic! At The Disco, on the other hand, I can advocate for. I've been a fan since one of my friends from middle school showed me their most popular song, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." Ever since then, I've been hooked. I saw them last year at Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey, and I promise, theirs is a show worth seeing.

So, take a day off and go to a concert this summer. If none of these look interesting to you, remember that there are many more tours to go to, you just have to look for them. Make the most of the time you have before school starts in the fall, and incorporate a concert into your busy schedule!

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
