Summer may be winding down, but we still have all of August left! Not to mention those few awkward first weeks of September that are just too hot to wear you fall wardrobe. Here are some of the articles and styles you've been missing out on this summer; and where you can get them!

1. Layered Necklaces

Good news for anyone who enjoys the bohemian-inspired look, or just loves to have jewelry dripping from their neck! The long layered necklace look is making a comeback. Over patterns, prints, color blocking, solids, you name it! Don't be afraid to really make this style your own.

2. Tops With Lacing

Ok, I know what your thinking. Not exactly new right? Wrong. Lace up tops and dresses have been looked at as exclusively going out wear for far too long. With some changes to the look however, it can become a universal style. Just make sure to find the neckline that makes you comfortable! Don't be afraid to start throwing some lace-ups into your everyday wardrobe!

3. Bell Sleeves

Yup, you heard right. The wide open sleeves are coming back! There aren't limitations here though, you can wear bell sleeves with a dress, romper, shirt, hell, even a tank top! However you decide to style it, make it you own! Maybe even pair it with some layered necklaces...

4. The Boxy Crop Top

Over the past ten years or so, the fashion world has skirted around anything loose fitting, particularly around the waist area. Rather than exentuate the waist, the boxy look pulls attention to your legs. Now what's wrong with that? It can be fun to rock a boxy top once in a while!

5. Overalls

Bare with me here. Overalls get a bad wrap. Not only are the super convenient, they also have pockets, which is a rarity in a nice summery look. You just have to be careful of what you pair them with! A plaid shirt may make you look like a farmer, but a solid, floral, or striped pattern will balance out the denim or color of your choice perfectly!

What are your go-to summer styles? Whatever it may be, a little creativity can help a smooth transition along into your fall looks...

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
