Summer is right around the corner for many, and has already began for some. As the temperatures come up, and stress comes down, it's time to break out those summer clothes.

But what should you wear, you may ask yourself?

Wear what you want!

So many people say "I wish I was smaller so I could wear that type of thing." or "I wish I had the confidence to pull that off"

I'm going to let you in on a secret. You can pull off anything you'd like. What you wear should be based on what you feel comfortable in, not what others say is "okay" to wear.

Unfortunately, there are always going to be the judgmental people out there. Every time I am out in a crop top, or shorts, I know there are the few people that will look at me like I'm from another planet, but so what?! I have the confidence to wear it, or at least give off the presence that I am confident.

So to the girl that has a little bit of a stomach, wear that crop top, and be proud.

To the person who is scared to show their scars, wear the short sleeves, and shorts. Be comfortable, because you are a warrior.

To the person who won't wear their favorite dress, because your scared of being judged, wear it, and wear it with pride.

The people who know me often say they wish they had my confidence. They say I'm fearless, and don't care what others think.

Do you want to know my secret?

I'm not that confident.

I may seem like it, but it's because I wear what I want and do what I'd like. I still second guess it all, but it is actually quite liberating. So do me a favor, even if it's just once

Stop worrying about what others think!

You won't regret it. If you think to yourself "what if they don't like my outfit" Pull yourself back from that thought. You picked that shirt because you liked it, and I promise that you rock it better than you could ever realize. Keep your head held high, and strut your stuff this summer.

Start off your morning by looking in the mirror, and instead of being your own worse critic, give yourself a compliment. It's hard, but it helps.

This summer, no matter your size, your race, your social standing, wear what you want. Do what you feel best doing.

Fuck society's standards. This summer is yours.

Make the best of it.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
