Long Island is an incredible place to live, but summer on Long Island is what it's all about. Sandy beaches 20 minutes away in any direction, hiking trails, kayaking on the bay, lighthouses, dining outdoors by the water and much more. To have all that and be just a short train ride away from New York City is truly lucky. For those of you who haven't had the chance to experience the beauty of Long Island or for those who live here or have visited, here are some of the top 10 summer attractions on Long Island.
