12 Must See Movies Coming Out In Summer 2016
Hello Giggles

For most, summer is filled with beaches, family vacations and fun times with friends. But for a large amount of us summer breakers, movies are the main topic of discussion. Summer is the perfect time for studios to release their top quality and top box office films. So without a doubt, every summer, there are some great films that will reach the eyes of audiences around the globe. Here are some of the most anticipated films (and definitely must views on my part) of summer '16.

1. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)

What's another great way to start summer than with yet another Marvel Universe movie? There is none. With the releases of "Deadpool" and "Captain America: Civil War" this year, "X-Men: Apocalypse" seems to bring the same amount of quality action. And the cast is amazing (per usual).

2. Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016)

For many people, "Alice in Wonderland" could have never been imagined as a live action film. And now, almost a decade later, audiences can rejoice again with not one, but two live action "Alice in Wonderland" films. Starring fan favorites such as Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway, "Alice Through the Looking Glass" is a top contender at being number one in the box office this weekend.

3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016)

Another story that, for many, was only envisioned as a comic or cartoon, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" makes its second wave and rise in the box office this summer. Starring Megan Fox.

4. Now You See Me 2 (2016)

A movie about magic? Sign me up. If you haven't seen the first "Now You See Me," I definitely recommend it before going to see number two. Hopefully "Now You See Me 2" will bring the same 10/10 rating that the first movie had. With Morgan Freeman in it, I would say it's highly likely.

5. Finding Dory (2016)

I don't even think this movie needs a description. A sequel to any extremely popular Disney movie is always the talk of the town (or of the nation). "Finding Dory's" release has been talked about by at least everyone I know, if not globally, for a good year now. So, if you're one of the few people that hasn't seen "Finding Nemo," get to that.

6. The Legend of Tarzan (2016)

Yet another cartoon story brought to life on the big screen! "The Legend of Tarzan" is of high priority on my summer movie list. With "The Jungle Book" having such success, "Tarzan" will hopefully follow in its path.

7. The Secret Life of Pets (2016)

If you're crazy about your pets (like me) and think about what their exact thoughts are at almost every moment, this movie is for you. "The Secret Life of Pets" shows what common household pets think, talk about and do when you're gone. It also features the animators and production company that made "Despicable Me" and "Minions."

8. Ghostbusters (2016)

Another movie that honestly doesn't need a description. If you haven't heard about the "Ghostbusters" reboot, then you might be living under a rock. "Ghostbusters" stars a popular cast of ladies that will carry on the story from the original "Ghostbusters" movies in the '80s. Unfortunately, this movie has received a large amount of online hatred because of its gender bending from the original. However, I think its a great plot and an even greater idea to have a stellar group of females reprise the roles of characters that are fond to many people.

9. Star Trek Beyond (2016)

The third wave of Star Trek movies is almost upon on. "Star Trek: Beyond" brings back all of the great action and cast from the other two "Star Trek" movies. The film will also mark 50 years since the original television series was launched in 1966.

10. Bad Moms (2016)

It feels like it's been years since I've seen Mila Kunis in a movie, so I'm glad she'll finally be returning in "Bad Moms." The title of the film basically spells out the story line: moms being, well, bad. The movie stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Annie Mumolo, Jada Pinkett Smith and Christina Applegate.

11. Suicide Squad (2016)

Another movie that has been the talk of the town since its first trailer was released, and even before that. "Suicide Squad" has another amazing line up of cast members and will definitely be bringing the heat to the box office this summer. Will Smith will definitely be a key component to this film along with my favorite, Margot Robbie, who will be playing Harley Quinn.

12. Sausage Party (2016)

If you haven't watched the trailer for this film, I warn you, it's not what you think. While the majority of animated films are geared towards a younger audience, Sausage Party isn't one of them. Brought to life by Seth Rogen and James Franco, "Sausage Party" takes place in a world where food have thoughts, feelings and are basically human. At first that may seem funny, but in some ways, it's a little weird. However, "Sausage Party" looks extremely hilarious and is definitely on my must watch list of movies this summer.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
