Sunglass Hut,
As many people know, being a broke college student is very common for many students across the world. Some people choose to work during the school year, but others just work when they go home on summer break.
Last year, around March, I decided to start looking for summer jobs. From eighth grade to my senior year of high school, I worked for a clothing boutique. This past summer, I knew I wanted to try something a bit different.
After looking for many different jobs, I got offered to work for you. I knew iI would still be in retail, but I figured "how hard can selling sunglasses be?" Taking this job offer was more than just selling sunglasses.
Some people may think picking sunglasses is just about the outside appearance of the glasses on their face. However, it is honestly much more. Working for you was not only a teaching experience but an opportunity of learning something new every day. From the marketing and sales side to the customer relationship skills, it was very valuable.
I learned that there are four shapes of faces that a person can have. Those include, square, oval, round, or heart-shaped. Wide varieties of frames and glasses fit the face shapes of males and females differently.
There are many different examples of frame styles as well. Some of these styles come polarized and some do not. Personally, I do not only buy polarized sunglasses, however, after hearing this fact it makes me want to.
On a bright day, glare from the sun can be 3-4 times stronger than the light creating it, causing your eyes even more fatigue. Polarized sunglasses reduce the glare to help you see more clearly and minimize the harmful effects of UV light.
This store offers a total of 12 brands, then some of their own brand sunglasses. Ray-Ban, Oakley, Maui Jim, Chanel, Persol, Prada, Tom Ford, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, and Versace are all the brands offered. However, Sunglass Hut does not own Ray-Ban, Persol, and Oakley.
During the job experience you granted me with, I gained a lot of knowledge on customer experience. I feel that this was a great addition to learning more about people as well. I knew that if my customer walked out without merchandise, I did not achieve the best customer relationship.
I believe that everyone should step out of their comfort zone and try something to further their knowledge a way they would not expect.
I am grateful to have chosen this job and to have worked with such an amazing store. Full of new knowledge of style and a drive to continue doing different things, I hope other people take unique experiences like the one I had with you. Work experience may not always be what you expect, but we must keep our minds open.
Xoxo,
A Girl Who Loved Her Job
P.S. Shoutout to store #5010
