Going Home For The Summer, As Told By New Girl

It's only depressing until you don't have to pay rent.

Ah, summer. The only people who enjoy summer more than high school students are college students. Finally we get to pack up our dorms and say goodbye to exams, finals, and ridiculous term papers for three glorious months of nothing (unless you take summer classes, and if so, bless your soul). So here's your summer vacation, as summed up by the show New Girl.

When you see high schoolers driving around town

But then you realize they are judging you for moving back in with your parents

Then you get home and have to explain your car's contents to your parents

You start out trying to pretend you don't drink

But then you try to innocently order your first drink in front of your parents

And you feel so guilty for pretending you haven't drank before

But by the end of summer you really stop caring what they think

So you spend your summer doing nothing

But then you realize you need a job

When really you don't want to work at all

You realize all your friends are studying abroad or doing really cool internships

And you start losing touch with the world

Your parents try to relate to make you feel better about living at home

But you secretly love not having roommates

And you know you couldn't survive on your own

...And you really enjoy the free groceries

So you accept your fate

Before you know it, it's time to go back to school

And then your friends ask what you did with your summer

Yup, sounds about right, Winston.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
