This article is here to remind everyone that summer hasn't left just because it's the beginning of September.

Summer Hasn't Left Just Yet!

Look, there's still a good 3 weeks of Summer left, and just because it is now the beginning of September, does not equal the first day of Autumn. I mean, who doesn't love Pumpkin Spice Lattes, big, cozy sweaters and the magnificent changing of the colors of the leaves? All this is lovely, but there is still time to enjoy the end of the warm weather before having to transition into these attitudes that it is now Fall. Here are some last minute activities to do before the chilly wind of Fall hits the streets:

1. There is still time to go to the beach!!

Just because it is now the month of September, does not mean there are not plenty of good days to visit the beach and take a swim!! Water temperatures are still pretty decent to take a nice dip and enjoy the sand!! There are plenty of local beaches, and if not local, make a day trip with some friends!!

2. Yes, go out and visit the wonders of nature by taking a lovely hike!!

There are plenty of mountains and hiking trails up in this area to go out and still smell the flowers!! Hiking is lovely, don't wait until the cool breezes of Autumn push you off the mountain, or wear big sweaters only to be sweating at the top of the trail. Bright, sunny days are still happening and you can still get a lovely view in the final days of summer!

3. There are plenty of great amusement parks!

Up here in the Northeast Region of the United States, there is no shortage of fun amusement parks and boardwalks with rides! There is the always exhilarating Six Flags in Jackson, New Jersey. There are plenty of rides at the boardwalks of Seaside Heights, Wildwood and Point Pleasant all down the New Jersey Shore. There is Dorney Park, Hershey Park and the old-time favorite Knoebels in Pennsylvania! Take time to get a good adrenaline rush!

These are just a few summer favorites that not only myself, but a good number of my friends enjoy doing. Don't think that just because there are a few people all too excited for pumpkins and Halloween that summer has all but disappeared. These last few weeks might not seem like a lot of time, but it does give these last minute trips a good send off of summer! Gather your friends, family, or even the family dog and just take a drive in the sun and make sure you make sure summer doesn't get a bad ending as fall is rolling in. School might be in session, but summer has not finished and there are plenty of days to go and have a great time in the sun before the settling of cozy cuddles by the fireside with the all too delicious Pumpkin Spice Lattes!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
