Well the warm weather is fully in swing, and here are the summer trends that every girl should be looking for. These are the comfy staples that will last for the rest of the season, and each one is on a wallet friendly budget. Your summer must-haves are officially here.

Breezy Shift Dress

This perfect, lightweight, and airy dress allows you to go anywhere. It can be dressed up, down, and anything in between for any occasion that fits in necessary. It’s an all-purpose one piece that you’ll reach for countless times this summer.

Fringe Flats

Who said flats couldn’t make a statement, let alone sandals? Well that has changed now with the spotlight being on flats. This season were all about the fringed flats. Find a pair of flats with fringe to add a refined but fun taste of boho-chic to your ensemble.

Pleated Shorts

It’s out with the old and in with the new. No more jean shorts. It looks like a skirt but it’s the new pleated shorts. A version of these can be worn on all different styles. They’re tailored, classic, and definitely not to short. These shorts will keep you cool and are acceptable enough to wear just about anywhere.

Off-The-Shoulder Crop Top

If you look around, off the shoulder crop tops are something all girls have been wearing. Feminine, flirty, and cool in the heat, it something we can’t get enough of. Wear with shorts or pants, or for more coverage pair with high wasted bottoms or a skirt. Bonus: It makes your legs look extra long.

Tassel Earrings

Tassels aren’t just for graduation. You can put them on accessories and make a boring piece fun. Bracelets, clothing, wherever you look, it seems you can’t avoid them. There so adorable, and the best way to sport this trend is with accessories.

White Cut-Out Lace Top

White is very in this season, and a way to spice it up is with lace on cutouts, so combining the two makes for an unforgettable piece. Festivals and festive occasions call for a cut out lace top. Wear it over a cami, bandeau, or to the beach as a bathing suit cover up.

White Linen Blazer

Dress it up or dress it down. The blazer is at the top of the list for a versatile wardrobe this summer. Blazers can often get hot and stuffy, so opt for the linen version, which is a bit lighter and airier for the summer. It gives you the same amount of polish but with a sophisticated summer vibe.

Gold Bracelets

Bracelets are a great accessory, but too many can be a bit much. So a simple and delicate gold bracelet on your wrist can be pretty. It can be a small touch to make a big impact.

Woven Handbag

This isn’t just for the beach, bring it on to the main land. The ultimate island inspired accessory is the woven handbag. Whether it’s all natural or one with tassels, it’ll add a beach vibe to any outfit. Bring a bit of the beach to wherever you go.

Caged Leather Sandals

Another pair of statement flats are leather and caged. Similar to gladiator sandals but a bit shorter and more edgy can give your outfit an amazing touch. Many are in love with the metallic, caged sandals (bonus points if they’re lace-up) that add just the right amount of edge to any look.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs.
