It's June. The weather is starting to heat up, but it's still pretty inconsistent. June is such an important fashion month, so this month let's get you at your best for three different occasions. From weddings to a date in the park to the next summer concert, here's some great ideas to get your summer off to a fabulous start!

1. Daytime Date

Day dates are highly overlooked but in reality, are the true core of any relationship. However, us girls are experts at what to wear on a date later than 7 p.m. (a killer cocktail dress and heels, of course!), but what happens when daylight shines on your date? Play it cool, casual and fashionable.

This first look is great for a first date that happens to be during daytime. Maybe it's brunch or whatever else he has in store for you, you'll be ready to impress in a fun, light colored dress! Try to find one that highlights your figure without being too tight (leave the bodycon dress for the club later tonight). Pair with a great envelope clutch or a crossbody that hangs beautifully off your shoulder and some fun strappy heels and you're sure to knock him off his feet!

This look is great for a casual date from the third date and up, super casual but still fun! A great look for roaming the city, grabbing some lunch or shopping at the local farmer's market together! By dressing in layers, you are ready for any type of weather!

2. Wedding Season

Yes, wedding season has begun. To avoid spending major cash on a new dress for each event, choose one great outfit and wear it to every wedding!

This outfit is perfect for a summer wedding and can be a great and versatile piece for every type of wedding! This dress is great when you may not have a clue on what the dress code is, this is always a safe bet! The yellow of the dress too is perfect for the wonderful summer months.

This blue dress is amazing for a west guest dress. When wearing a high-low dress, it becomes appropriate for every type of wedding. From black tie to garden wedding, you will be the star guest (without upstaging the bride)! Pair it with cute but comfortable heels so you can dance the night away!

3. Outdoor Concert

While outdoor concerts and summer festivals are a blast, it's hard not to look trashy while dressing for them. Before you head off to Lollapalooza or Country Thunder, try to style your adult summer wardrobe similar to these outfits.

This first outfit is great if you still want to dress like you're going to Coachella, but tastefully. By using a romper, it's very quick and easy and there's not much fuss. It's a great airy and cohesive look that will keep you looking (and feeling) cool no matter what concert you're headed off to this weekend.

This last outfit is definitely much more of a bad-ass concert look. It looks comfortable, but with the leather booties and the classy ripped jeans, it gives off just the right amount of cool to your awesome summer outfit. This can be worn to so many different types of concerts, making this the most versatile and best option for your fun night in the music scene.

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
