Summer Ends, College Begins

Another new semester is upon us.

Summer Ends, College Begins
Preservation Of Moments

So, once again, summer is coming to an end, and a new semester has begun.

I had a really relaxing summer and I only did monthly articles since I wanted to take some time for me, but I will be going back to do doing my weekly articles in September. I do this every year now just so I don't run out of ideas and so I can transition from work mode to relaxation mode. My intent of this is to come back stronger than ever, and I believe that I always do because I always find some new topic to dive into and I appreciate everyone who reads my articles no matter how long winded they are.

Over the summer, I took some time to relax and I got a lot of awesome work done on my music blog, Generation Clash.
I was going through my record collection all summer so I could build up posts for my blog since college is time consuming and I don't want to lose time on it because it's a passion project and I truly love doing it.

I took a lot of photos this summer and I've had my photography blog in queue mode because I wanted to go into this semester being able to still do what I love because I'm a point in my life where I have a lot of things I love to do, I don't want to stop doing certain things because of time constraints.

My semesters get pretty crazy just because I work really hard and I don't always give myself the "me time" I should because I'm so focused on getting everything done, but I've found out that the same way that you need work time, you need free time.

There has to be a balance or everything falls apart. If you're like me, you always want to get everything done but then you're burning out before you even get the chance to do what you want to do.

I chose to work ahead on these blogs during the summer so I can stay motivated, because I have a tendency to go on hiatus when I get busy but I'm not letting that happen anymore. I've worked too hard to just start things and not finish them.

Since I'm writing all this, I want you all to know that I've got brand new content for the Odyssey, Preservation Of Moments, MeloCard Corporation, and Generation Clash!!

I look forward sharing them and I hope you all enjoy them!!

My thoughts will seem a little scrambled here, but I just want to get all of this typed out.

Firstly, I hope everyone has an amazing semester!

Secondly, since I'm a little behind in my messages, I wanted to say that I hope everyone is doing good!

My inbox will be organized soon, so don't worry.

The key to this is that I want to be more organized and I'm using my time effectively.

Little things can lead to big change.

Keep doing all the awesome things you want to do and use your time wisely.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
