Summertime should be synonymous with country music! This season, whether you're spending the days of warm weather and blue skies chilling poolside, working hard to make some money, or otherwise, be sure to check these songs out. This genre always produces some of the catchiest jams to listen to during the summer! Be sure to add these essential country jams to your playlist.

"Tequila" by Dan + Shay

Dan + Shay are two of country's most promising vocalists, and their 2018 release, "Tequila," is a pure demonstration of their talent. The two told The Boot, "Instead of writing a feel-good, up-tempo kind of thing, we were like, 'Let's go to the Dan + Shay wheelhouse: nostalgia zone!' We used the idea of tequila as a trigger to go back to a relationship and get really specific with the details, really tell a story." The result is a sweet yet nostalgic song that is sure to stun listeners.

"Die A Happy Man" by Thomas Rhett

Even though this song is several years old and is extremely popular, no country playlist can truly be complete without it. Back in 2015 when the song first came out, Rhett told The Boot, "There's a song on the record called 'Die a Happy Man' that I hope one day becomes a lot of people's wedding songs. It's a super, super, super love song. I wrote it about my wife." Is there anything sweeter than that? I don't think so either.

"Somebody's Heartbreak" by Hunter Hayes

This song is adorable and hopelessly romantic. It has a youthful, lighthearted vibe and Hayes' catchy lyrics will stick in your head hours after the song has ended. "We made it about hey, if you're going to break somebody's heart, I want to be the somebody," Hayes told Taste of Country.

"Heartache on the Dance Floor" by Jon Pardi

If you're looking for the perfect tune to jam out to while having friends over for a Fourth of July BBQ, this is definitely the one! This upbeat song just sounds like summer. Pardi told Billboard, "It moves. It's got that cool beat, and you can see the crowd just start dancing when that beat drops, when that first chorus comes in. I see it all the time. There's something cool about it." This song will have you dancing with your pals all night long.

"Like I Loved You" by Brett Young

Nothing is better than listening to this jam while driving through your hometown on a warm night with the windows rolled down and the music blaring. Nothing. It's personal and grabs at the heartstrings. According to The Boot, though Young and his co-writer initially struggled with writing this song, a lunch conversation between the two helped solidify what the song should speak on, and the rest is history. "Once you identify exactly what it is you want to say, it falls out fast," Young said. "It's figuring out what you want to say that takes a while."

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
