Did I really do what I said I was going to do this summer?

Back in May, right when summer started, I wrote my summer bucket list of 11 things I wanted to do before the summer ended. Well, now that the semester has started and is in full swing, I'm going back in time to see if I actually did anything this summer. (I didn't.)

1. Actually get a tan

LOL. This definitely didn't happen. I will forever be pale. While I do have some tan lines, it's nothing like I wanted them.

2. Save all the money

I mean, I did save money but then I moved into a new apartment and there it all went.

3. Go tubing

I DID DO THIS. Ichetucknee Springs is definitely a place I think everyone should go to. The water is so cold and refreshing - especially on a hot summer day!

4. Go to the beach at least twice a month

To get a tan, I needed to go to the beach, so this didn't happen either. I did go to the beach, but not as much as I wanted.

5. Sleep

I did get to sleep in when I wasn't working mornings, but other than that, my body got used to waking up at 8:30. Naps were a thing though.

6. Don't stress out

Hm, well looking for an apartment didn't really help me with this so "not stressing out" didn't really happen.

7. Go somewhere new

I didn't have any big or grand travel adventures but I did go to Savannah, GA which I've never been to so, mission accomplished.

8. Dye my hair

Didn't dye it but I did get a different style so I would say I accomplished this one.

9. Learn new recipes

I had no kitchen so no knew recipes were learned. :(.

10. Work out everyday

HA! This one DEFINITELY didn't happen. When you have summer classed and work, the last thing you want to do is go and workout.

11. Read! Read! Read!

I did finish one book and start a new one so I'm giving this one to myself. (Also, Me Before You is just as sad as you think it is.)

So, it was a kind of successful summer but I definitely did work more than I did fun things so now it is my mission to make next summer or any other breaks fun and adventurous while I still have breaks and don't have a full time job. We'll see how that goes.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
