Happy Summer! We made it. Through the endless amounts of papers and projects and notecards, we pushed through. Now, before us is three months of pools and tanning and probably working our usual summer job. So get pumped to catch up on your favorite Netflix shows and reminisce with your high school friends. Here is a college students summer, as told by your favorite gifs.
We finally have some free time. So save up some money and ROAD TRIP. Weather it be with your significant other, your sorority sisters, or you high school best friends. You don't have to go too far, but make a day of it at the least. Be sure to get some car snacks and make an awesome playlist.
Make sure to have plenty of dance parties. Because it is summer and you don't have any homework that you are drowning under for at least two more months (unless you are taking summer classes then I am sorry for your poor soul). And you are lying if you say you don't like to dance. So break out some 90s pop and break it down.
You try to go to the grocery store or the local ice cream shop and see people from high school. You try to dodge this awkward encounter but it is too late. You have to say hello and think to yourself that this ice cream better be worth running into your old classmates. You miss your friends and your home away from home. Somehow, a place you knew no one at this time last year has become your favorite place to be. You made so many memories and gained so much freedom. You kind of feel like your life is on hold until you get back to that town. With your free time you can rewatch all the "New Girl" episodes or catch up on "Grey's Anatomy." So really you are still winning.
When Disney decides to have throwback of everyone of you favorite movies on the weekend you are starting to miss college. It makes you forget that you are not ten years old anymore and you record them all so you have something to do all summer long. Thanks, Disney.
You spend every sunny moment possible outside on a raft in pool. It feels like heaven and you don't have to wear any makeup in the next three months because the sun is a beautiful thing. You might get a few burns but hope they turn to tan before someone asks what is wrong with your bright red skin.
You are home for the summer and the last nine months you have been told to act more like an adult and now you're confused what age you are because your moms doing your laundry and making you food and it's wonderful. But you might have a curfew and you forgot you had to tell your mom what you are doing every time you leave the house. Soon you are questioning how adult you really are.
But the days of napping on rafts and doing you're summer job will come to an end before you know it and back to college you'll go.
