Summer break is the best and worst time of year for college students. From trying to rack up as much money as possible while working your summer job, to going through separation anxiety from being away from your roommates for too long. Here is a typical summer break for college students as told by an early 2000's classic TV show, "Lizzie McGuire."
The initial excitement after you take your last final!
Summer is finally here! Its time to hit the beaches and celebrate your accomplishments from the school year.
Seeing your grades from this semester
Hey, it's OK, there is always next semester!
Trying to rack up as much money as possible from your summer job
Because surviving the semester on $20 just will not cut it this year. "Werk" By Rhianna is your anthem this summer.
When your friends inform you that they are taking summer classes
Like why would you do that to yourself!? Not much of a summer break if you ask me.
Realizing that none of your old summer clothes fit
Well, it's time to spend some of your hard earned cash already .... *sigh*
Going on beach trips with your friends
Because you have to do at least one fun thing this summer that is Instagram worthy.
When your parents try and tell you what to do
I just lived on my own for an entire year, I'm basically a full-blown adult now, right?
Being reunited with your high school BFF
Sorry I did not call you everyday! Time to catch up on what your partner in crime has been up to.
Hearing all the ridiculous high school drama from your hometown
It makes you pretty happy that high school is over!
Eating all of the food that you could not afford at college
So much for that summer beach bod.
When your relatives ask you how college is going
I would rather not talk about it!
Making sure you look your best when you see your high school enemies
Because you have to make sure you look like you are doing better than them.
Running into people from high school that you do not feel like seeing
You cannot even go to the local mall without running into half of your graduating class.
Missing your college roommates
Going from seeing your roommates everyday to hardly at all is tough.
All in all, make the most of your summer! Because trust me, even though your parents being up your butt and working 9 to 5 everyday can be a pain, remember the perks! Like free food and beach vacations. And before you know it, you will be back at college studying for a test worth 90 percent of your grade along with three, 20 page papers to write. Enjoy your summer break, college students!
