But honestly, if you’re stuck in your small-town alone, abandoned by your friends, and losing all hope, here’s some tips on how to pass the time, but also make the most of it.

1. Learn something new.

2. Start an exercise routine.

3. Give up the exercise routine after five days.

4. Tackle that book collection you have yet to conquer.

5. Do a deep clean of your home/apartment.

6. Learn to make a new dish.

7. Nearly burn down the house making that new dish.

8. Go back to eating ramen because your diet is trash, anyway.

9. Start a new show on Netflix.

10. Cry because you’ve watched everything on Netflix.

11. Call your parents.

12. Visit your parents because you need human interaction.

13. Write a comedy stand-up show.

14. Laugh at your stand-up because you’re hilarious.

15. Apply for a summer job.

16. Apply for two summer jobs.

17. Get a dog to fill the void.

18. Take a trip out of town.

19. Take yourself out to dinner.

20. Go to a concert.

21. Choreograph a dance routine.

22. Never share the dance routine.

23. Start journaling.

24. Watch the sunrise (or sunset).

25. Paint a volleyball and name it Wilson.

26. Recreate that scene in Castaway.

27. Learn more about yourself.

28. Self-reflect.

29. Grow.

30. Bother your friends because you can’t live without them.
