If you haven't had the time to hop on fashion trends because you are unable to physically go shopping for the time being, know that there are many ways to incorporate the latest styles into your wardrobe. Considering fashion trends does not mean you have to alter the way in which you express yourself but it can help to spruce up your look if you enjoy doing so.

1. Chunky jewelry.

Thick jewelry is becoming a fashion statement, allowing for casual and lounge outfits to become elevated without much help. Chunky jewelry, in both silver or gold, helps to refine an outfit and change its look, as the bold contrast between the shine of the jewls and an outfit is very eye-catching.

You can support small businesses by considering the wide range of affordable chunky jewelry on Etsy or layer the jewelry you already have to create a more striking look.

2. Pastels

Pastels are not solely confined to spring anymore and have become the perfect colors to start wearing this summer. You can incorporate pastel into your style, not only by way of clothes, but through accessories like purses, hair accessories or shoes.

Mixing up the colors that you incorporate into your style can be a fun statement that doesn't have to break your bank, so consider either accessorizing with pastels you already own or integrating some new affordable pieces into your collection.

3. Tie-dye

If you can't get enough of the current tie dye trend and want to hop on the train, you can either find affordable pieces like socks, t-shirts or sets on Amazon or you can create the look yourself with a tie dye kit or bleach. If you want to get a matching tie dye set, Amazon has various color options such as the PrettyGarden Tie-Dye Two Piece set that retails for $25.99.

Although tie-dye sets might be favored more popularly, you don't have to conform to wearing a matching set if it doesn't suit your style. You can still add small touches of tie-dye into your outfit by way of socks, which you can purchase as a five piece set on Amazon for $19.99. If you are more of a DIY type of person, you can make use of solid colored clothing by tie dyeing it yourself with bleach or with a multi colored tie dye kit that retails for $13.49 on Amazon.

4. Highlights and fun hair colors

If you enjoy switching up your look by way of altering your hair and want to try out a fun new style, consider adding some chunky bang highlights or adding a pop of color in your hair. There are many ways to create a fresh look that can complement a new style for a more eye-catching appearance, some that don't even require permanent damage and alterations.

If you are considering highlighting or dyeing your hair a fun color, you can test out how you will look by covering a piece of your hair with concealer to lighten it and adding colored eyeshadow on top of it. You don't have to permanently change your hair and can use this temporary method to achieve different hair looks every day or you can color your hair with semi-permanent hair kits.

5. Repurposing old clothes

You don't have to purchase a whole new wardrobe to create a trendy fashion statement but instead redesign old clothes to create a new outfit. There are many ways to upcycle clothing such as creating crop tops, shorts out of jeans, using material scraps to create tank tops, adding lace, jewels or graphics onto clothes and more.

You can find upcycling tutorials and ideas on Pinterest, Youtube and blog posts such as Creative Fashion Blogs' 21 Upcycling Fashion Ideas. Not only can you obtain an entertaining creative outlet by repurposing your old clothes, but you can create a whole new outfit without spending a dime.

It is important to look at the potential of every piece of potential clothing so that you can create a bold one of a kind outfit that no one else has but you.

Whether you enjoy mixing trends into your style, or simply need some inspiration to incorporate with your fashion, many of this summers' trends can be achieved at the comfort of your own home. It is important to preserve your unique stylistic identity and only change, purchase or wear styles that continue to represent you.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
