"Suicide Squad" Trailer Reaction
BGR

Last week we were graced with the presence of a new official "Suicide Squad" trailer. With over 26 million views on YouTube, it's safe to say that the buzz for this DC movie is gaining a lot of steam. Many that have watched the trailer have had mixed feelings, but the response has been positive over all.

Of course the first thing most people are looking at in this trailer is Harley Quinn and the Joker. I was pleasantly surprised at how little the trailer actually focused on them. Almost everyone on the squad had a chance to shine, and Joker and Harley appearances didn't overshadow the fact that this is an ensemble movie. If the trailer is an indication, I think that it will be lovely to see everyone have their time in the spotlight and not have the entire film just be the Joker and Harley show.

Quite a few people have become more wary of Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn since the trailer was released. Though I agree that some of her jokes didn't land very well, like the one about the voices, there are some beautiful moments where I believe she will be a wonderful Harley. Her focus and intensity look wonderful during the action sequences, and I couldn't help but smile as she waved to the camera as she was going up the elevator. I'm interested to see where Robbie is going to take the role of Harley Quinn throughout the entire film. I also am anxious to see how they portray the Joker and Harley's relationship.

I've been a fan of Jared Leto as the Joker from day one,and this new trailer just solidified that opinion for me. I know it may change when I see the full movie, but I'm loving his performance so far. I feel like he's showing a really nice range and he's going to take the Joker in a nice multidimensional direction. Even in the trailer you see moments of him being the happy over the top Joker, and then being the really intense and chilling Joker that Heath Ledger did so well. I adored the moment where Joker was laying on the floor surrounded by his weapons, and I think this movie is going to be beautifully shot.

As I mentioned before, the trailer wasn't just the Joker and Harley show, and I really enjoyed that. You see wonderful glimpses of Deadshot, Killer Croc, Enchantress and Captain Boomerang. From what I've seen I feel like Will Smith is going to do a great job bringing Deadshot to life, and he's going to make the viewer sympathize with the character well. Jai Courtney looks like he is going to absolutely nail Captain Boomerang, and the shot of him dodging bullets while opening a beer was priceless.

Judging by the trailer I think that "Suicide Squad" is going to be a fun time all around. Whether you believe Margot Robbie will be a good Harley or not, I think that all of the performances look like they're going to be fantastic. The film seems beautifully shot, and I'm loving the posters that have been released as well. I can't wait to see what this film is going to bring to the comic book movie genre.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
