We all have our own family traditions when it comes to holidays – sure, we all get a Christmas tree and all that for Christmas, but what about the details? Well, every year, I always make sugar cookies to leave for Santa.
Below is a recipe that I’ve had for years – so much so, that I’m genuinely surprised that we still have it around. Sometimes I add in more butter than suggested, sometimes I don’t chill the dough for so long, and this time I used vegetable oil to make it a little less dry. This dough is great, because it’s easier to make with cookie cutters, and yields a lot of cookies! These are also great to decorate with frosting, or add in chocolate chips. I also like to use food coloring in some of the dough, which makes any color cookie that you want
So go ahead, and make some holiday cookies! :)
