They pushed the most beautiful thing they had ever seen to the edge so that they could watch it fall

Success

There was so much history between them. Every time they were together, you could feel the current that ran between their bodies. When they met, the world paused to watch the tragic but beautiful reunion. Every breath was held. Every reaction was halted. Every particle of every body of water froze. Except for the oceans that were captured in each other's eyes. The oceans that were so unbelievably different that no one believed they could ever mix. But they did. They did without question. Past the drama and the chaos and the parents or friends that told them they were crazy. They did. And what the did was more beautiful than anyone could imagine. For a short time, this beauty closed everyone's mouths. Darkened the screens of phones and computers. But with all beautiful and golden things, the world became jealous.

She should have known that he would never be able to be with her. What a stupid girl? He just wanted her for her body. What a shallow boy? How dare they think the world revolves around them? How dare they think they could ever last together? How dare they think that we would ever let something so beautiful live?

How dare they think that we could ever take our faces out of our screens to look up and recognize that our own marriages aren't that beautiful and our parenting is crippled and our job is a mess and we can't find happiness without making sure that they never feel that they can work together?

Our lives are fine. We don't need love. We need success.

How dare they think that we could leave them alone?

They could damage their reputation. Being alone leads to hurt.

How dare they think that in this darkened world, surrounded by hate and disgust, that we would let the tiny fire of life and love stay?

Fire is dangerous. Fire spreads. How dare they think?

The oceans that once moved between there glance slowed with every jab from the world. It wasn't that they didn't love each other with everything they had inside of them, but they couldn't hold the weight of the world's disgust with the weight of there love. Both were so heavy. Everyone told them to walk away because they would only hurt each other. And they did. They did in such a beautiful way that again the world fell silent, but this time the chatter stopped because the world got what it wanted.

Success.

Their end.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
