Welcome to the most fashionable time of the year! Grab your scarves. Grab your booties. Grab your blazers? Yes, blazers. A classic staple in anyone's closet. Whether you're in a professional setting or grabbing a quick Saturday coffee, this guide will help you look and feel polished this fall.

1. The classic black pantsuit

The power suits of all suits. This is a look anyone can pull off because you probably already have the core essentials in your closet. Match a classic pair of black trousers with a fitted black blazer and you're good to go! Want to add some color? Incorporate some color from your shoes to complete the look. Who says black has to be boring?

2. Have fun with different prints

Matching separates is a fun and easy way to dress down that conservative pantsuit look.

3. Blazer and Scarf

Tie a scarf around your blazer to dress down your look. Incorporate solid or mixed prints with your scarf and blazer.

4. Wear a blazer over a graphic tee

Dress up any basic graphic tee with a solid or patterned blazer. Throw in a cute pair of booties and add a statement piece of jewelry or two! Who knew that funky graphic tee you've had since high school could look so polished.

5. Blazer with the basics

You might be off the clock but that doesn't mean your outfit is. The classic white button-up, jeans, and blazer look is an easy way to look polished yet casual at the same time.

6. Dress and a blazer

Transform a late summer dress with a fitted or over-sized blazer. Add your favorite pair of flats or booties.

7. Maxi skirt and a blazer

Maxi skirts are not just for summer. Tie in a blazer to turn it into a fall staple.

8. Layer a flannel under a blazer

Blazer meet flannel. Flannel meet blazer. The unconventional pair that just makes sense. Dress a flannel up by tying in a pair of dark wash jeans with your flannel-blazer duo.

9. Break up denim-on-denim with a blazer

Remember that no denim-on-denim rule? Yeah me either. Easily break up your denim-on-denim look with a black blazer.

10. Fitted blazer with boyfriend jeans

Those boyfriend jeans are not just for late night scrap-booking. Spice them up with a fitted blazer, classic button-up, and heels.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows.
