Super Bowl XLII- February 3, 2008

The New York Giants are playing the New England Patriots. The Giants have the ball. There's a minute 15 seconds on the clock in the fourth quarter.

Bob Papa (Sportscaster)
Manning takes the snap, back to throw, under pressure.
Avoids the rush and he's gonna...fight out of it.
Still fights out of it, now throws it deep down field.
Wide open Tyree who... MAKES THE CATCH!
AT THE 24-YARD LINE!
What a play by Manning!

Finals week is like the Super Bowl for college students. First we have:

1. The Regular Season: Start of the semester

The regular season consists of the first two months of school. We either start off strong or panic before midterms, a.k.a. the playoffs. Yet, before the regular season begins we already know the classes we’re going to take. We know the teams we’re going to be up against. So, we take that information and we prepare for these classes. Sometimes that means doing research on our professors on RateMyProfessor.com to see if we can have an advantage over the class. We take that information, create a game plan, train and then we’re on the field playing Sunday Night Football.

2. The Game Before the Playoffs Start: Midterms

If we’re undefeated in the regular season, then we’re not too worried on whether or not we will make it into the playoffs; whether or not we'll pass our midterms. Unfortunately, not everyone passes every test or wins every game. Therefore, this is the point where we find out whether or not we are failing our classes. Yippee. The pressure is on man. If we can make it into the playoffs then we’re one step closer to making it to the Super Bowl. We’re one step closer to winning it all.

3. The Playoffs: Two Months Before Finals

Let’s remain positive and assume we made it into the Playoffs. Woo! We did it. Great. Now, we have two more months till finals. No pressure, right? We just broke a bajillion sweats, cried a little bit, maybe even died a little bit, and we have to do it all over again; and we do. We push through.

4. 01:15:00 left in the Super Bowl: Finals Week

Here it is. It’s finals week. We did everything we could and now it’s all or nothing. Our heart is in the game like it’s never been before.

For the love of football, let's just say we represent the New York Giants' quarterback Eli Manning in Super Bowl XLII.

01:15:00 - We have the ball, it’s third and short in our own 44. It's all or nothing now. We have to make a play. We have to take the test(s).

01:14: 59 -We take the snap and now we're under pressure. We've got the New England Patriots defense trying to take us down. The amount of finals we have are hitting us left to right.

01:10:00 - We avoid the rush. We catch a breath of fresh air.

01:09:00 - We see our wide receiver David Tyree wide open. We throw the football down the field. This is when we take those finals like champs and hope for the best.

01:06:00 - David Tyree makes the catch. We did it! The play is complete. Now we wait for our final grade.

00:36:00 - Wide receiver Plaxico Burres makes the winning catch. WE WIN THE SUPER BOWL!

WE PASSED OUR FINALS! WHAT A GAME!

So, there it is folks. College finals brought to you by my favorite sport. Happy Studying!

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.
