Studying abroad is an experience of a lifetime. It's a time when you learn about yourself and the world around you. Studying abroad is good craic and if you went to Ireland, you definitely learned what "craic" means. Here are some other things you probably learned in the land of green grass and sheep.
1. You will never be prepared for the weather.
2. There's a limit to how much a raincoat can actually help you.
3. Rain pants may look stupid, but you will wish you had them if you don't.
If you don't want your pants to become soaking wet, these may be a good investment.
4. The Irish love to talk about the weather.
5. Irish accents aren't as easy to understand as you may think.
6. At least one building on campus will look like a castle.
Welcome to University College Cork!
7. You learn that Americans speak very slowly.
8. You order a drink before you finish your first one.
9. The rivalry with England is real.
Especially in sports, obviously.
