I studied abroad in London this past spring semester, and it turned my world upside down in the best way possible. Many college kids are studying abroad these days and my high school math teacher literally said to me that "it's really great you guys are studying abroad. It's a great experience and no one should think twice about studying abroad." There are so many places you can travel to. Here are a some reasons why you should study abroad.

1. Living in a foreign country

Who wouldn't want to live in a different country?

2. Traveling

If you study abroad in Europe, you have the option to travel all over the continent. I went to 10 different countries.

3. Confidence

Let's just say I was hopeless when it came to public transportation before I left for London. Using the Tube system made me a pro at public transportation, which gave me confidence to find my way around and help others too.

4. Independence

I mean, you're living in a foreign country without mom or dad. So, living far away makes you rely more on yourself and grow up.

You don't have to study abroad in London, but you can study anywhere you want like Australia or Ireland. There are so many choices. But wherever you do end up studying abroad, it will be an adventure of a lifetime for sure! You don't want any regrets twenty years down the world.

female tv characters
We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
