1. Spray an unfamiliar scent, or play a new song while studying.
Spray it again, or think of the song while taking the exam. This will help jog your memory.
2. Leave yourself a skittles trail while reading your textbook.
Not only will you stay energized from the sugar -- you are rewarding yourself for reading each passage.
3. Use a program to block any distracting websites, apps, or messages.
Use Cold Turkey for PCs or Self Control for Macs.
4. Kinda be a teacher with your notes.
With a study buddy (who is not in your class) present your notes to them as your presentation notes, to teach them what you have just learned. Not only will this help you see where in your notes you may have missed anything, but it will also point out any weaknesses.
5. Remember to take 5 minute breaks every 30-40 minutes.
No one is perfect, and remember that you are human. Don't overwork yourself -- make sure you are well rested and fed. I know that sounds hilarious, I'm a pre-med major with two minors. I get it.
6. Rewrite your notes.
Seems kinda boring and will take forever if you have a hard class. But I always enjoyed rewriting my notes, and using colorful pens and highlighters.
7. Read your textbook before class.
Do you know how long you are on your phone? Hours a day. Use that time to read a chapter from your textbook so you have an idea of what to expect in the class.
