The places I want to go and the things I want to experience

The Ultimate Study Abroad Bucket List
Florence

In the fall of 2016, I will be studying abroad in Florence, Italy for an entire semester. These are the things I want to do and plan to see. Hopefully I'll be able to come home with a few crossed off my bucket list.

1. See the Northern Lights

For some reason, I've always had the desire to see the Northern Lights. To be honest, I'm not even sure when you can see the Northern Lights, but if I can see them during my time abroad I will be quite happy. Finland or Iceland, here I come (despite hating cold weather.)

2. Go on a Gondola ride

What better place to go on a Gondola ride than Italy?

3. See the Eiffel Tower at night

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the Eiffel Tower at any time of the day, but if given the opportunity I'd love to see it twinkle at night.

4. Watch the sunset in Greece

What better place in the world to watch the sunset than on one of Greece's beautiful islands?

5. Throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain

This is such an iconic fountain in the world that I want to experience first hand, plus it'll make a great photo or video.

6. Drink beer at Oktoberfest

Don't worry I'll be of legal age. What better place to enjoy some beer than Oktoberfest?

7. Go on a Wine Tour in Tuscany

Tuscany will be the perfect place to go on a wine tour with friends for a day filled of relaxation with great views and wine (hopefully.)

8. Go to the Sistine Chapel

A day spent viewing Michelangelo's gorgeous masterpieces would not be a day wasted. I'll be taking an art history class abroad and Michelangelo is going to be a must see on my list, especially because I'll have a better appreciation for the arts.

9. Lounge on the beaches of the Amalfi Coast

I'm a huge fan of relaxing on the beach and being in the water, so I know this is a place I'll be visiting - the perfect weekend getaway.

10. Wander around Copenhagen

Although I don't know much about Copenhagen, I wouldn't mind spending the day wandering around what appears to be a beautiful city.

11. Go to Barcelona

After seeing the beautiful Barcelona in the Cheetah Girls many years ago, I'd love to take a weekend trip to explore the beautiful city.

12 Things To Do On A Snow Day

Everyone loves a snow day! Whether you decide to call out sick from work or your classes get canceled, it is a great way to spend time with family and friends.

1. Build a snowman

People brave enough to face the weather can go outside to build an adorable man made of snow. Relive those childhood glory days, but remember to bundle up!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.

Here are some "Parks and Rec" moments that relate to life struggles that just about everyone faces.
