College is an interesting time. I can safely say that it was hard to imagine what college would really be like until you are actually there. When reading articles like these before, there were many times I thought I could beat the stereotypes, but it just was not possible. There are just some things that everyone thinks.

1. Where the heck are my keys?

Just ask my roommate, I lose everything. Actually, it's not even that. I saw "where's my...?" without even looking for anything and its an actual problem.

2. Do I have to go to this class?

There's that one class that is so boring and such a waste of time that every single day you think about using one of your absences on it.

3. Oh shit, the classes are what costs money.

Then after thinking about skipping, you suddenly realize what you are paying for. The money is not only for living on campus, but for taking classes, too. You skipping means you're wasting money.

4. I would much rather have a whole pizza than eat from the cafeteria.

Try not to give into this one. The freshman 15 is alive and well. Save this for special occasions. By special occasions I mean the nights you need fatty food so you don't get drunk too fast.

5. I'm tired.

6. I'm going to look nice tomorrow.

6am rolls around and I end up sleeping until 8:30am for my 9am class.

7. Netflix or studying?

Studying...duh? Not.

8. Do I really need this education?

My thought anytime I choose studying over Netflix.

9. After these for years, I have to have a real person job.

Excuse me?

10. It's time to nap.

Gets back from 9am class? Naps. Gets back from 12pm class? Naps. Wonders why I can't go to sleep until 3am.

11. Should I check my bank account?

12. I'm falling asleep doing homework, I'll get up early and do it tomorrow.

*Sets alarm for 4:30am the next morning*

13. I hate myself for not finishing this homework last night.

14. I hope I have money in my grades are okay.

15. Can I go out on a Thursday and still be prepared for class or Friday?

I'm going to give this one a hard no.

16. I have never hated Mondays more than I do in college.

17. I am lonely and want to find someone so I can get my shit together and have a family and a good job and travel and succeed in life and not disappoint my family and blah blah blah.....etc.

Usually after I've taken three naps that day when I'm laying in bed at 3am because I can't fall asleep is when I begin contemplating the impending doom that is my future.

18. I'm so glad I'm not in high school.

Just yes.

19. Is it Friday yet?

And when Friday comes around you wondered how you ever got through that week.

20. I miss my dog.

I'm feeling this one so hard right now.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
