7 Ways To Stuff Your Wallet With Cash Before Spring Break

In This Article:

7 flexible ways that college students can make fast cash and be their own bosses.

1. Postmates

Sign up to drive for the company that's most convenient for you. Postmates, GrubHub, DoorDash, JoyRun, UberEats. Registering is easy and you can drive as little or as often as you want. I made an extra $780 over the summer driving for Postmates periodically after work and on the weekends.

2. Become a brand ambassador

Be your own boss and become a brand ambassador for a company of your choice. You can advertise for dating apps like Tinder and Bumble, work for retail companies like GymShark, Lululemon and Victoria Secret or market health, hair and beauty products.

3. Sell your stuff

Pay for your spring break by selling your clothes, electronics, home decor, accessories, etc on apps like Mercari and Depop. I made an extra $350 over winter break by selling clothes that had just been sitting in a plastic garbage bag under my bed.

4. Give tutoring a try

If you've done well in a class try tutoring a student that's struggling. People are looking for tutors all the time and you would be surprised how much money college students are willing to pay to pass their classes.

5. Drive for Uber

Become a driver for Uber or Lyft and drive during your spare time. If you live in a college town consider giving up a few bar nights to pay for a few more but remember to leave a garbage bag in the backseat just in case.

6. Recycle

Take your beer cans and water bottles to the recycling center. I know it can be a little inconvenient but $10-15 here and there adds up. I was able to pay for my six flag ticket over the summer with just can money. Plus, you're helping the environment, a win-win.

7. Learn a new skill

Learn how to do eyelash extensions or how to repair shattered phone screens and market your new trade to your friends and peers to make cash fast.

Turn the 8 cents in your bank account to 8 M's.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
