It seems like January has been a long month for a lot of people, but thankfully it's now February! A new month means that there is a whole new list of things to do and look forward from your first round of exams to celebrating Valentine's Day! To help you stay on track and enjoy your month of February, as well as stay on track with all your responsibilities, make sure to keep reading:

1. Organize your 'junk drawer.'

We all have one. This month set aside thirty minutes to go through your junk drawer. Throw away anything you don't need and organize everything you keep. You will be amazed at some of the things you find!

2. Host a "Galentine's" day party.

Gather some of your girlfriends and host a girl's night. Order pizza, put on your favorite rom-com, and enjoy a night dedicated to celebrating your friendship. These are the people that are by your side through thick and thin, and it is always a nice gesture to celebrate that every once in a while!

3. Finalize your spring break plans.

Spring break is next month and if you don't know what your plans are yet it is time to figure out what they are. Whether you are planning on spending a relaxing weekend back home or hitting up the beach somewhere with your friends it all requires a little planning on your part.

4. Buy fresh flowers.

Flowers brighten up a room, right? Stop by your local flower shop and pick up some of your favorites blossoms. February is a great time to start prepping for springtime, and what says springtime better than flowers?

5. Clean out your winter wardrobe.

Look back at all the things you did and didn't wear this past winter season. Start to slowly compile a list of the items you don't want anymore. If you live in a colder climate this is an opportunity to incorporate the clothing items you rediscovered before the cooler weather is gone!

6. Celebrate Valentine's Day.

It can be a romantic night out with your significant other, or you can go for less traditional evening. Maybe you even have a second "Galentine's" Day with your friends! Whatever you decide to do, spread some love around on February. We live in a world that could use a little more of that!

7. Set aside a study week.

It is likely you have your first round of exams this month. Set aside some time to dedicate strictly to your studies. It's no fun to cram the night before a test and it's been proven to be more beneficial to space out your study time. Create a schedule that works for you and don't procrastinate!

8. Bake something sweet.

Nobody can resistant some delicious cookies, homemade fudge, or ice cream! This would be a fun activity for your "Galentine's" Day party!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
