My Walk With God

On April 12, 2018, I decided to go public with my faith and to celebrate giving my life over to Christ. Before being baptized, I was asked a few questions and here were my answers:

Before Jesus:

1. My life was driven by.... fear, complete terror of the unknown

2. Struggles... I struggled with severe anxiety. I couldn't enjoy the present because I was too wrapped up in the future.

How I came to follow Jesus:

1. Introduced to Jesus.... After coming to Alliance, I started reading my bible and watching sermons online. I remember learning that I don't need to worry about my past mistakes, I can stop worrying about them because Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice.

2. When/ why did my view change... I became jealous, I was jealous of the relationships I saw others have with Jesus. I wanted what they had, I wanted to live a life without constant worry.

3. Decision to follow Jesus... I faced a T in the road, I could either continue my life in my terms, or give up control and follow Jesus. My life was crumbling in front of me, I knew I needed a change in my life and that change was Jesus

4. Decision to get baptized... to me, it's a celebration. I want to celebrate what Jesus has done in my whole life, but especially this past year.

5. Feelings about baptism... I'm am so excited. Going public with my faith is an incredible feeling and baptism is the best way of doing that

My life after following Jesus

1. Changed life... I no longer live in fear, anxiety and worries don't Control me.

2. God has taught me... how to trust. "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done."

3. Impact of Jesus... I have never been happier. Trust me, life hasn't gotten easier since following Jesus, but my mindset and heart has. Nothing can knock me down because I have a stable foundation

4. I'm thankful for... my faith journey. It's been a long walk and had it's ups and downs, but I wouldn't change a thing

5. What do you want to see God do in my life... I pray I know God for the rest of my life. I hope God uses my God given strengths to help others in whatever He calls me to do.
