Feeling the heat, Democrats attempt to scrape more votes using desperate tactics

Struggling, Democrats Attack Third Parties and Millenials
Commentaries on the Times

Hillary has had a very hard time this election. First, she had to fight off Bernie Sanders in a long and drawn out battle. She couldn’t hold him off and even at the Democratic National Convention, the Bernie supporters had a very strong presence. Well, now with only weeks until the election, Hillary is still having a hard time. After clinching the nomination, the Democratic Party was expected to gain momentum with Millenials. Rather, she ended up with the cold shoulder as that key demographic looked towards third party options. Now, she has to work for each state. One thing, however, is clear. Whoever wins is going to win in a very close race.

The Democrats don’t like this. They don’t like the prospect of having to sweat bullets. They don’t like the prospect of having to actually earn and victory against Donald Trump. But more importantly, they abhor the possibility of losing to Donald Trump. Seeing that the Millenials turned their backs on them for third parties, the Democrats decided to attack both. It all started September 28th when President Obama directly attacked Millenials and Gary Johnson. What did he say? A vote for a third party is a protest vote. He didn’t stop there. A vote for a third party is a vote for Donald Trump.

I’m sorry, Mr. President. You are wrong. The ability to vote for a third party is our American Right. It is our own personal choice. Sorry that you had to step in for Hillary because she is having a terrible time trying to gain ground against Donald Trump. But don’t you dare tell me that my vote is a protest vote. Don’t you dare tell me that my vote is a vote for anyone other than the person I’m voting for. If you were trying to gain support or “wake people up,” you failed.

Of course, since President Obama decided to attack Gary Johnson and Millenials, so did Tim Kaine, Nancy Pelosi, every other democrat, as well as every news outlet. Video ads have gone on the air, newspaper articles are being written, and politicians are talking to anyone that will hear them. The message is consistent from all of those different people. They believe that Millenials need to grow up. They believe that Millenials are wasting their votes. They want to place blame on Millenials if Hillary loses to Donald Trump.

I don’t know about you, but every tactic these individuals are using to shame Millenials are doing everything but attracting more votes. If I were to try to gain support, the last thing I would do is insult a key demographic. Want to know why we Millenials are not voting Democrat or Republican? We are done with the bullshit. We are tired of no change. So stop attacking the wrong people, strategize, and may the best candidate win. Next time, choose a strong candidate that has the people’s best interests at heart. In the meantime, I’m going to exercise my AMERICAN RIGHT and I am voting for the candidate I believe best represents me and for me, that’s NOT Donald Trump and it is DEFINITELY NOT Hillary Clinton.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate.
