Don't mind me panting over there in the corner while I try to catch my breath and at the same time trying to keep my calves from giving out on me.
1. 8 a.ms
Nothing else needs to be said. It doesn't matter that from 1st-12th grade we had to be at school before 8 a.m., college is a totally different game. If you can avoid having class this early, then do it. Don't torture yourself or trick yourself into thinking it's possible, because you and I both know the struggle is real. I even had a professor tell me how even he thinks 8 a.m. classes shouldn't be a thing.
2. Balancing time between Netflix and homework
Being back in college means being back to having responsibilities that don't include binge watching shows on Netflix.
3. Remembering how to manage time in general
Between class, homework, clubs, friends, sleep, having a planner makes life so much easier. Sometimes you may need to write in when to eat because that's what college does to you.
4. Trying not to wear sweatpants to class every day
They're just so comfortableeeee. And wearing jeans is so much workkk. The dance the girls do when they put skinny jeans on is not a myth, at least not for more. Why would I go through all that trouble when I can just wear sweatpants with my hair tied, chillin with no make up on?
5. Having to control your breathing after walking up hills to get to class
Bless that no one can hear me panting after walking from my apartment to class because ya girl is tired and worn out.
6. Praying not to gain the 'Freshmen 15'
I'm assuming that it's called the 'Freshmen 15' because after your freshmen year, you (should) know how to maintain a well-balanced diet and as hard as I may try to eat right and go to the gym, I still end up putting on some weight.
7. Pretending that ramen is actually food
I know how bad ramen is and that it has no nutritional value, but that doesn't stop me from trying to convince myself that eating those sodium infused noodles isn't ruining my diet and is good for me.
So, if you need me, I'll be sleeping because that is yet another thing college students struggle to do.
