Pretty Little Liars has had an incredibly devoted fan base since it first aired about six years ago. Through every plot twist and plot hole, diehard PLL fans continue watch each episode religiously, taking note of each detail despite knowing deep down many of those details will be irrelevant just two episodes later. Yet fans keep watching and rewatching episodes, looking to solve the mysteries that unravel in Rosewood. (And occasionally Ravenswood, but that appears to be irrelevant now.) Below you’ll find nineteen struggles shared by PLL fans.
1. When Marlene King keeps revealing random clues that supposedly lead to A but nothing adds up.
2. The liars have been seniors for three seasons now and Christmas only just passed in the show, meaning every season from Season 3 onwards has taken place over the course of three months.
3. Characters have a tendency to vanish for episodes at a time and randomly reappear without much explanation.
4. "PLL" first aired in 2010. Fans are running out of people who could possibly be A. Thus, memes like this are generated.
5. Sara Harvey’s showers. That’s all.
6. The liars continue to avoid help from the cops and embark on dangerous and often unnecessary adventures into abandoned buildings.
7. When Marlene King says answers will be revealed this season.
8. A true "Pretty Little Liars" fan can spend multiple hours each week either reading theories, writing theories, or watching old episodes to create more theories. Oftentimes, these theories make more sense than actual plot lines.
9. What’s harder? Keeping track of Emily’s girlfriends or the people who have died on the show (and/or come back to life)?
10. Ezra, who started off as a fan favorite and heartthrob, progressively gets creepier with each passing episode.
11. Trying to explain what’s new on "PLL" to someone who hasn’t seen it in a long time.
12. Dolls will never be looked at the same.
13. Trying to remember if Jenna can see or not.
14. Every single episode reveals another plot line, detail, and/or question that only makes the show even more confusing.
15. Looking forward to a finale episode that claims A will be revealed, only to have A not be revealed, or some random A-team member be revealed who soon abandons the A-team (i.e.: Spencer, Toby, Mona, etc).
16. But are the moms out of the basement?
17. After years of dedication to the show and endless theorizing, we discovered that Charles was A.
18. Somehow we have to accept that Sara Harvey is Black Widow and Redcoat when she doesn’t have any motivation to harm the girls. At the same time, Cece has been A for the past three seasons, causing a multitude of plot holes we aren’t supposed to acknowledge.
19. And yet, despite all of this, we will be curled up on the couch, popcorn in hand, Tuesday night at 8 o’clock sharp.
