I'm the shortest person in my family standing at 5 feet 3 inches. My dad is 6'1, my mom is 5'7, and my younger siblings are both 5'9 (my brother is still growing so that might change sometime in the near future). People comment on my height as being "so cute" and I can't help but think "that makes one of us". Sometimes I don't really notice how short I really am until I'm standing next to my siblings when I go home during a break. For all my vertically challenged people, I know this article will capture what you've been wanting to say to people.
1. People who feel the need to remind you of your shortness.
Yeah I know. I don't go around pointing out your tallness so please refrain from pointing out my shortness.
2. The car sun visor doesn't do anything for you.
Even with the help of transition lenses, it's still a pain in the butt driving on a sunny day. I have given up on even putting down my sun visor because it doesn't do me any good.
3. Being a human armrest
I am NOT your armrest.
4. Having to sprint to keep up with people
5. Gaining a few extra pounds and people can tell immediately.
6. Your feet dangle off of almost every chair you sit on.
7. Struggling to get the last few clothes from the washer.
I always pray that nobody walks by when I'm practically in the washer machine getting the last of my clothes.
