Being an out-of-state student can take people out of their comfort zones. New place, new friends, new culture. It can be fun, but it can also be a hassle.

1. Not knowing a single person on the first day.

2. Friends back home having fun without you.


3. Adapting to the culture.


4. Finding a place to go during breaks.


5. Staying in a dorm for short breaks.


6. Overpacking for college


7. Finding storage or a place to store dorm stuff for the summer.


8. Not going home for the weekends.


9. Renting a car to buy groceries.


10. Finding transportation to the airport or job.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
