The Struggles Of Having A December Birthday

Why having a birthday at the end of the year is the worst thing that our parents ever did to us.

The Struggles Of Having A December Birthday

Where are all my Caps/Sags at? It's that time of the year again. Birthday season! Well maybe just to us....because normal people are getting ready for the holidays *sigh* Here's why having a December birthday is the worst.

1. Everyone is always away when you're trying to plan a celebration for your birthday

2. If you DO manage to figure out a time for all your friends to get together, there's a huge chance it might snow.

3. You are now forced to spend time with your extended family because all of your friends are....somewhere

4. Everyone complains about being broke because they had to spend all their money on the holidays

5. People constantly reminding you "oh, it must suck to have a December birthday."

6. People generally forget your birthday because they have a million other things to think about

7. You have to spend your birthday surrounded by Christmas decorations

8. Your birthday present is always wrapped in some kind of holiday wrapping paper

9. The red and green color scheme has scarred you for life

10. Finals surround your birthday and who can focus on fun things with finals staring you in the face

11. You don't have that mid-year day of presents

12. You are now the family Grinch because Christmas has ruined YOUR birthday month

13. You're competing with this guy in December birthday celebration

But never fret, it is the most wonderful time of the year and December babies are the most wonderful people. So happy birthday to all my fellow December babies!

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
