The Myers Briggs personality test is formulated to place each person into 16 different personality types. Each one having a special purpose, strengths, and weaknesses that form the world we live in. The MBTI, is a common test that many high school students and even some employers use to gauge personality. The more we can learn about ourselves the more we can understand about how it relates to the world around us.
Every time I have taken the MBTI, I have received ESFJ. Which means I am Extroverted, Sensate, Feeling, and Judgmental. As opposed to introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving. Every aspect has a scale, and everyone can be high, low, or in between in any category. The ESFJ is the caregiver, they see others and want to immediately help. They nurture, and love with all their hearts. They think of others before themselves, and although these traits sound awesome sometimes they can be a real pain. The ESFJ can be seen as overbearing and controlling, but they have good intentions. How the world views the ESFJ is imperative to how they see themselves. So anyone else who shares this struggle, this article is for you.
If you have not yet taken the personality test, here is a reliable link .
1. Wanting to help everyone but getting overwhelmed with the fact that you can't
2. Trying to be the parent to your friends
Sometimes they're just stupid and you need to forbid them from texting that stupid boy
3. Guilt
Sometimes you just need a night for yourself, but it makes you feel deeply guilty for abandoning them. You feel everyone else's guilt all the time.
4. Feeling everything, all the time
Some may call this an empath, but because you are sensate you can sense other people's emotions a mile away. You can even read body language like a pro.
5. Saying "yes" to too much because of number 3.
Sometimes others will make fun of you for being so gullible and a yes man. They can't change who you are, they can only appreciate it.
6. Being overly anxious about what people think
People often tell you to calm down, just breathe, or forget about it. They don't understand how you feel about others and what they think of you. If you say this, what will they think? Should I let this go? Who knows.
