Having a monotone voice can be a rough life.

Living a life in a one-note world can be a tough existence. Here are some struggles that any monotone voice can relate to.

1. People are always asking if you are okay.

"Do you want to talk about? You don't sound okay."

2. You have to keep reassuring people that you are actually excited about something so you try to overcompensate with facial expressions.

However, then you end up just looking crazy.

3. Everyone thinks you are being sarcastic when you are actually trying to be genuine.

4. When you're trying to be sarcastic no one picks up on it.

*monotone voice* "Hearing about your weekend in Vegas is really fun." This was meant to be in a sarcastic tone but who can tell anyways.

5. People can never tell if you are upset because there is literally no inflection in your voice.

6. You can respond to the question, "Well, can you at least try to sound a little excited?" with "I am" like second nature.

7. Trying to comfort someone when they are down is nearly impossible.

"There, there. Everything will be okay." *monotone voice*

8. You think you're showing emotion when you're really not.

*monotone voice* "No, really. The movie was really funny." *force smile to further back up statement*

9. You have Skype calls with people but your voice puts them to sleep.

Or talking to anyone in general may lead to the possibility of sleeping.

On the bright side, your deadpan humor is always on point.
