Halloween is meant to be a fun time for all the kids around the block, but that can also apply to adults around as well. For most people it is an amazing opportunity to get to walk around, as any character or whatever you wanted and get free candy, but for myself, it was never like that. Growing up all the neighbors on my block would jump for joy, due to Halloween finally making it’s way to us, but for myself it was the worst thing in the world. From the age of three on, I have had an enormous fear of clowns, and still to this day have never been to a circus. Unfortunately, as a kid seeing a bunch of teenagers dressed up as the “It” clown, wasn’t exactly my cup of tea. Not only did that play a large role on my dislike for Halloween, but the disrespect that elders and others get from kids. Everyone comprehends that kids can be jerks sometimes, but it’s a whole other issue when kids are egging the elderly’s homes, and or stealing buckets of candy. A word that defines these kids are, disrespectful, and selfish. How would one feel if their house was egged, or their grandmother’s house was egged? It’s not a nice act, and unfair for those trying to enjoy their Halloween. Another disliked aspect of Halloween is those who take the whole entire bowl of candy, so by the time you get to that persons home, you're left with nothing, but blisters on your feet. Looking for a costume was always fun, until everything you liked was either way too big, or way too small. Not only was the size the issue, but as a young girl starts to mature there’s other things like finding a non sexy costume, and so forth that can start some fires breaking lose.Another painful negative coming out of Halloween is having to hear the doorbell ring every two seconds, which can be tiresome for not just you but, our pet swell if you have one that is. So, as much is there is a lot of hate going towards this article, there is also the fact that you may meet other people your age trick or treating, and or make friends. Other things that are great about Trick or treating is getting a bunch of candy that you hadn't paid for, but watch out because it can be very toxic, so don't trust everyone. Another positive outcome of Halloween is getting to go to a bunch of parties, if it's a school party, a friends party, or your party, there is definitely at least one party you were invited to, which you may or may not be attending. Lastly, you get the option of having a blast as well, so maybe just ignore the negatives and make the best of Halloween. Have a Happy Halloween!!!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
