To the strong women in my life,

I consider myself extremely fortunate that I have so many of you in my life who I can look up to as strong role models. These incredible women, whom I admire for their strength and grace, did not become strong because they had it easy, but became strong because they experienced times where things would not work out. They trudged through storms and held the weight of the world on their shoulders. They would build enough courage to stand up, only to be knocked down again by life's punches. Every day they approached their challenges differently. Despite however difficult these challenges might have been, these women made sure that they rose to the occasion and handled them with class. While each one of these ladies are different than the next, they all have helped me become who I am today. Regardless of who you are or how long we've known each other: thank you.

I've learned from you and have spent countless hours quietly admiring your ability to walk with the strength and conviction that is needed to conquer the universe. You've shown me how important it is to wake up and choose strength every day. I've eagerly followed your prominent footsteps, hoping to make as much of an impact as you have on the world.
Thanks to you, I dance a little crazier, sing a little louder, and walk a little taller.

You've shown me to ditch the glass slipper and help me embrace shattering the glass ceiling instead. Barriers are meant to be broken, and the ability to fearlessly rise to life's challenges is a lesson I would soon learn time and time again. Luckily, it was a lesson that you made sure I never had to endure alone. Whether I fell short of my goal or achieved success, you were there and always were willing to catch me and to push me further than I thought was possible.

You wake up and fight every single day for what you want out of life. Your voice is powerful and can move mountains. It has since lent volume to mine and has helped find my own voice. When there are times when the ground beneath you rattles you to the core, you stand firm. Because of you, I never gave up. You've taught me to love my quirks and to embrace my imperfections. The confidence you have in yourself has poured into me.

Thank you for being you, because you have inspired me to be me.

Love,
A Future Strong Woman

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
