An Open Letter To The Guy Who Was In Love With The Idea Of Me

Here's an open letter to the guy who was in love with the idea of me, but not in love with me as a person. Thank you for showing me all of my flaws, my weaknesses, my immaturities, and my insecurities. Thank you for teaching me that it is so easy to love someone who doesn't love you the same, to look someone in the eyes and never truly know who they are, that life is short and every minute should be spent happy and celebrating, that people are focused on their own happiness and if you aren't working for yourself...well no one else is either. I sincerely thank you for that. But most of all I thank you for showing me that I AM beautiful. I AM worth it. I AM amazing, wanted, loved, cared about, and so many more things. In some sick twisted way it took being treated so horribly for me to realize how great I am and how much better I deserve. When I say thank you, I mean it from the bottom of my heart. You taught me so many things that other wise I wouldn't know. So thank you for pushing me to become the strong, independent, confident, beautiful woman I am now. There's always a rainbow after the storm, and through this ugly mess came something wonderful. I grew into a lady who believes in herself and will never settle for anything less than the best. I realized that my potential has no boundaries and neither does my success. So thank you for being around while I was at my worst and allowing me to shine light on what I can be at my best.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
