Sometime last year, I stumbled upon a video posted by Cole LaBrant lip-syncing in the car with his daughter. Of course, like any millennial college student, I fell down the rabbit hole that is YouTube and watched the LaBrant family's entire channel. Although some of their videos are a bit extreme, we can all learn a valuable lesson from Cole LaBrant.
We can all learn a lot from Cole and his wife, Savannah's, love story. Here is a quick recap for those who haven't heard of this cute couple. Both were internet starts before meeting one another, Cole on Vine and Savannah on Musical.ly. They met when Cole took a spontaneous trip to California. Savannah, who had a daughter Everleigh from a previous toxic relationship, met Cole and was worried about how he would feel about her being a parent. Cole stepped up to the plate at only 19 years old.
I have no idea how someone could do that. At nearly 21 years old, I still struggle to remember to water my plants and feed myself let alone care for another human being. Despite barely being an adult, Cole became a great dad for Everleigh. I am not saying all men need to be prepared to become parents by the time their teenage years are over, but we can all learn a bit of responsibility from Cole. Now, he is 22, and he and Savannah are expecting a baby in January. If this kid from Alabama can do it, so can we.
Not only is he a fantastic father figure, but he as such a pure relationship with his wife. For the first few months in their relationship, they did long distance. Savannah lived in California, while Cole went to school in Alabama. Of course, within six months of dating, they were engaged and then six months later they were married. Yes, that is incredibly quick, but if you genuinely found true love, then I guess that's how it works. In their wedding video, Savannah included in her vows she did not think she was worthy of love, something Cole proved was wrong. If you haven't seen their video which has over 30 million views, I suggest you check it out.

This brings up another problem women are haunted by. Ladies, why are we settling for relationships that make us feel unworthy, broken or depressed? Shouldn't we all strive to find a man like Cole who makes us laugh, treats us with the respect we deserve and values us? We should all be nodding our heads right now. Find someone who is your best friend, do not settle for mediocrity or convince yourself you deserve less.
