When you are faced with a life altering decision, you are supposed to be able to turn to your family. Paige had no one to turn to. She made the decision to become a stripper and told no one but her "trusted friend" Ashley. Paige made the decision to keep stripping due to the fear of the ramifications that may come out of it. Her goal was to find a way out of this life.
Ashley required Paige to sign a contract when she began employment with her. In turn, Ashley emailed her a copy of the contract for her own files. Paige quickly went through the contract hoping that maybe there was a way out or something about not taking pictures. Sadly, she didn't see anything. At the law firm, it was evident that Paige had a lot going on in her life. She wasn't her usual self. Her mentor Carson, called her to his office. Little did she know, Carson had a crush on her.
Carson quickly begins to tell her that he knows that something is wrong with her. She is quieter and more observant. He volunteered to help her as a friend, mentor, and lawyer if necessary. What woman wouldn't spill her guts to a man who is willing to be her knight in shining armor? I most definitely would. Through tears, Paige begins to tell her sad story to Carson. Praying that he didn't fire her and that he could help. Out of all the things he thought, being a stripper never crossed Carson's mind. Carson volunteered to do the work pro bono and asked for the contract.
I guess Paige had been crying so much, she missed in small print the words, " No picture, video, or audio imagery will be taken of you during your time with our company." Carson pointed this out to her and they planned to confront Ashley or better yet Jordan with their findings.
That night, Carson met Paige and Ashley. He represented himself as Paige's lawyer and demanded to see the pictures. As Paige and Carson are going through the pictures, she noticed that her tattoo of a dove was missing from her shoulder blade. Come to find out, these pictures were photoshopped to have Paige's face and body size. The only explanation that Ashley gave was she needed the money that Paige brought in. Ms. Monroe, Paige, was no more. She would now be able to put her stripper heels up for good.
Paige couldn't believe that she almost lost everything because someone else was so greedy. She learned that asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. Sometimes we have to accept help when it is offered. If not, the struggle of holding it together may be to hard to bear sometimes.
Carson escorted Paige to her car where she repeatedly thanked him and hugged him. As she released him, he said,"You are special to me, that is why I had your back." As Paige stood there shocked, he kissed her. She then proceeds to kiss him back. But that's another story for another time.
