We’ll we’ve made it! We’ve almost nearly transitioned into fall and I’m starting to build up my fall wardrobe. How about you? There are few pieces that I find valuable when it comes to transitional dressing and striped anything is key for me. Take into account this striped turtleneck tank from Cupcakes and Cashmere. Last year, I purchased a striped turtleneck and while I just about wore it out, I realized that I could make a lot more use out of having a striped turtleneck tank too.

THE STRIPED TURTLENECK TANK FOR FALL

Why a striped turtleneck tank? Well for a few reasons. One, I tend to overheat. I don’t know if you’re like me but turtlenecks in general make me warm. But I like them. So when I was searching for a budget-friendly addition to my fall closet, the striped turtleneck (which I had worn out) came into mind. But this time, I was looking for something that I could throw a blazer over and wear to work and then also wear it for a work party with a great pleated skirt.

The fit? It’s slightly loose, so I ordered a size down, and it bellows out at the bottom, which makes it a great top for skinny jeans, wide leg cropped pants, tucked in with a skirt, and for you mamas out there too! The striped turtleneck tank material is just the right amount of soft and cozy.

This striped turtleneck tank fits all those requirements and is under $75, which is great in my book. If something can be worn numerous ways and it’s under $100, I know I’ll get my bang for my buck, so to speak. Here are a few useful ways to style it, á la a virtual style guide, to help give you a better idea of what I mean.

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
