Stress Suitcase

Now what exactly is a stress suitcase?

Being in college has been quite the journey. It has taught me some things, but one thing it has taught me that it is okay to be stressed at times. But what I have learned that is not okay is taking your stress everywhere you go.

I understand getting stressed is normal. It is not a weird thing to have things that you are worried about, no matter what stage you are in. But taking that stress with you to work or to school is just going to make you more stressed. So it may be best to go out for a night and clear your mind of your stresses. Your stresses that are in your suit case (okay not a real suitcase but you get the point) the next day won't be as heavy as the were the previous day.

Most certainly, everyone has their own issues that go into their stress suitcases every day. Some issues can be in the suitcases for a short time and some for a very long time. It depends on the persons' issues. This is not to say that having issues or things in your suitcase is a bad thing. But how you handle what is in your suitcase can be a bad thing because you can't let your suitcase get too filled.

How to declutter your stress suitcase you may ask? Start by getting rid of the negative people that may be a part of your issues. Surround yourself with positive people that will help you become better as a person and that you can learn from. Try getting rid of those small things in your suitcase as well. You may think it won't matter if it gets removed but it really will help out in the long run.

I got this idea from someone I have been watching lately. If you want to learn more about how to handle your stress suitcase, check out Amy Young's video:

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
