I have always been told to find a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life. Right now, I don't have that job yet. Most of the jobs that people will never work a day in your life require multiple years of schooling. During those years of schooling, we have to have what I call, "buffer jobs." These jobs help us pay for necessities and maybe even pay for school to help us get by before that awesome job. Buffer jobs are great if you have great coworkers and a great boss, but to be honest, most buffer jobs don't. They are stressful, and we dread going to work. Over the 3-4 years I have been working I have found some ways to deal with the stress of work.
One great way to destress is to walk away and breathe. I have done this so many times that it's almost unbelievable. This method works because you don't have to worry about the job that was stressing you out for the moment. This is not only safe for you but also safe for those you work with. I have often wanted to take my coworkers and shake and yell at them to give them some common sense to do their job, but instead I was able to walk away and come back calmer.
My final method is communicating with your supervisor. This is probably the hardest method to do, but most of time it works and it will help the stressful situation. If you have a coworker who won't do their job or just won't leave you alone, go to your supervisor and talk to them about it. I have done this on many occasions, and it does work if you have an awesome supervisor. If you go to them and nothing gets done after a few days, go to the next higher up. Most of the time that will get the job done.
I hope these methods help and make your job more peaceful. Just remember you only have to be at this job for a little while longer before your dream job.
