As I sit to write this article, I literally have absolutely no clue what to say or write as it’s literally me bullshitting as I have no time to write anything as I procrastinated enough. As now it’s mid to end of the semester in college I’m having major mid semester slump and many emotions as I’m now being bombarded with end of school things. While I’m a procrastinator, but also someone who forgets things a lot, it’s hard to keep things straight. So, yes I am completely sorry if this article makes no sense and that it’s not even creative in the slightest. If I’m being quite honest, I was looking for ideas on the site and came across an article about a stream of consciousness article and I thought I would like to thank the article A Stream Of Consciousness: What It's Like To Sit Down And Write An Article by Christopher Garino for the best idea. While ok, it requires no thought and little effort, it’s still a way to connect with everyone.

If I’m being honest all I can think of right now is sleeping and my bed, I’m literally too tired for everything right now, I’m burnt out and in need of doing nothing but being lazy couch potato watching Netflix and Youtube all day. If I’m being honest too, I just need a mental health day of just being alone by myself to do what makes me happy. I need to do that soon *types it down but will most likely forget though unfortunately*. Wow, ok I just totally spaced on what to say, honesty nothing comes to mind in particular, hmm what to say, what to say, maybe it’s weird to write down my internal convos with myself. Oh, that reminds me, the Sephora sale is happening soon and I’m so excited for it! For those who aren’t aware, if you are a rewards member at Sephora, every year they have a sale 2 times a year as a “thank you” for all the purchases, which is a great marketing ploy for them to get more money. But it always works on me as I use it to get some new things and stock up on other things I need/use constantly. Anyways, if you are the lowest tier a Beauty Insider, you get 15% off from November 10-15, the middle tier VIB get’s 20% from the 10-15th, but VIB Rouge get it earlier at 20% from November 3-6. I am excited as I need some restocking and I am getting some new things for me and also others for Christmas.

So how is everyone doing lately? Lately, I’ve honestly been up and down, it’s been a rollercoaster for me, but hey I’m surviving though! i hope everyone else is doing well, I also hope everyones semester is great! How’s everyone liking their classes? Did you guys register for next semesters classes yet? I did on Wednesday and I am in love with all my classes except math bleh, that’s not my strong suit at all. Also what has everyone been up to lately? Have you guys been to any good concerts, parties or anything fun like that? Lately I’ve been drowning in homework, but I went to a Halloween party recently and have been doing tons of house work and tons of errands and working a lot as well. Life is crazy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything, well maybe some sleep and some tea, but that’s besides the point. In all honesty, I’ve been off my game lately and I’ve been having a hard time getting back on track, but slowly I am getting back their as I’m figuring my stuff out. I’m trying to figure everything out and get my life back to “normal” and to a good pace again.

I know this was all over the place and random, even weird and oddly deep, but I kind of liked this, it was just a way to get feelings out. It was kind of nice to be able to write, well type and it oddly helped. But now that I have, I am more motivated to get my life figured out and on track again. But, that’s enough talking for one week or day, but I will be hopefully on my game again by next week and have a better article.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
